The best energy of all is the Afterglow, that golden period after an epic moment. Washington, DC's own Black Masala is basking in the Afterglow at the moment, after taking a break from a heavy touring schedule. The last few years have been momentous for Black Masala as they band managed to release albums, remixes and videos while also touring and performing regularly. It's nice to take a break, and now we're back with something fresh and new.

Always seeking new ground to cover and sounds to explore, Afterglow is Black Masala's dive into the world of pop-friendly dance music. Steady pulsing beats are just dripping with electro-synths, on top of a bed of horns. The vocals drive the track, complete with a melodic brige and an almost-retro pop hook. Hold tight for some tight staccato percussion with a nice spacey breakdown.
